There is no doubt that with the invention of the cd burners the popularity of cassette tapes has plummeted downward quickly,there are still many people that enjoy cassette tapes however. Surprisingly enough there are still shelf stereo systems with a cassette player in them.  Since they are not so popular anymore they are quite inexpensive. There are many that offer a much higher quality than the older models. There is a much better sound and you do not have to worry about as much of that annoying hissing sound that some tapes convey.

Always remember as when you are purchasing anything else – there are certain features that as must haves. The must haves are different for everyone so I can’t really tell you which player will be the best because your opinion will be different than mine most likely.

One of the options you may come across is if you want a single or double cassette desk. There really isn’t a big price difference between these so I personally would go for the double. Who knows – might come in handy sometime right? lol

If you can’t find a new cassette player that you want you can of course go for an old cassette player that’s already been used. You might luck out at a yard sale but you can also find used cassette players online. You have to be careful when you buy used anything online or offline. You should always be careful to check and see how the quality of things like the pinch rollers,clutches,gears,belts and motors . They may not even admit to any problems however so I suggest you just buy a new cassette player.

Cassette players are easy to operate and don’t require any special degrees,that is one reason many people stick with the cassette players they have been used to over mp3 players or even cd players. I know that my parents still want to stick with their cassette players. I am still trying to teach them how to program their own cell phones with my phone number!
